Pros and cons

✓ What works

Best-in-class output — notes look like you spent 30 minutes on them
Audio capture is opt-in, so it doesn't feel like surveillance
Privacy-first: audio is processed and discarded, not stored
Mac app is genuinely delightful

✗ What doesn't

Mac only on desktop (iOS in beta, no Windows yet)
Free tier is 25 meetings/mo — easy to outgrow
No Zoom/Meet auto-join like Otter does
No real-time transcription view

Verdict

Granola is the meeting tool for people who actually want to take notes, not just have them transcribed. If you've been burned by Otter's walls of text, Granola is the answer. Best meeting tool of 2026 for founders and operators.
