The honest take

✓ What works

Best-in-class templates — all ATS-friendly, all professionally designed
AI bullet writer actually writes achievement-focused bullets (not job descriptions)
8M+ users — biggest community, most reviewed templates
Personal website generator is a unique bonus — kickresume.com/yourname
Premium at $7.99/mo is cheaper than Teal or Rezi

✗ What doesn't

Free tier has 3 templates only and Kickresume watermark on PDF
No deep ATS scoring like Rezi — relies on template quality
AI writer needs good input prompts — "vague in, vague out"
No LinkedIn import optimization (manual paste required)

Verdict

Kickresume is the best "I need a resume this weekend" tool in 2026. The templates are genuinely beautiful, the AI bullet writer is good enough to ship, and $7.99/mo is cheap. For senior roles or career changers who need deep ATS optimization, pair it with Rezi ($29 one-time) for the best of both worlds.
