Photoshop-level results without Photoshop

Luminar Neo (by Skylum) is the AI photo editor that made "just fix it" a real workflow in 2024-2026. Sky replacement, relighting, portrait retouching, and one-click Looks — all driven by AI that reads your actual photo instead of applying a flat filter.

Who it's for: Photographers, ecommerce sellers, and marketers who need great images fast. Ideal when Photoshop is overkill or too slow.

The honest take

✓ What works

No Photoshop skill needed
Fast for high-volume ecommerce shots
Strong sky and portrait tools
One-time purchase option available

✗ What doesn't

Desktop app is heavier than web tools
Subscription model irritates some buyers
Not for pixel-level retouch work

Verdict

For anyone shipping product or portrait photos at volume, Luminar Neo is the fastest path to pro-looking results. At under $10/mo it's a no-brainer next to a Photoshop subscription.
