An AI browser agent that researches, shops, and acts across the web for you.
Perplexity Comet is the company's move from answer-engine to action-agent. Built on a Chromium base, it reads the page you're on, follows multi-step instructions, fills forms, compares products, and summarizes tabs — all from a single command bar. It's less a search tool than a junior analyst that lives in your browser.
Who it's for: Researchers, shoppers, and power users who spend hours tab-switching and want an agent to do the legwork.
Follows instructions to click, fill, and compare across sites.
Condenses open tabs into a single brief.
Pulls prices and reviews across retailers to recommend the best deal.
Every claim links to the page it came from.
Perplexity Comet is the most useful AI browser agent of 2026 for research and shopping. If you live in tabs, it's a quiet productivity multiplier.
